THE POSITION
The Calgary Sports and Entertainment Corporation's Food Services Department is seeking a 1st Cook. As a 1st Cook you will cook and prepare daily food requirements. The ideal candidate for this position will have 5+ years' experience as a restaurant or hotel cook. You will also possess strong leadership skills, be very organized, and maintain the ability to multi-task and have strong interpersonal and communication skills. Formal culinary training is considered and asset.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Prepare hot plates, cold plates, soups, salads, sauces, and sandwiches for the restaurant, suites, and banquet functions;
- Perform a variety of butchering tasks such as trimming roasts, cutting ribs, chicken, etc;
- Ensure proper storage, handling and use of food inventories;
- Ensure proper temperatures are maintained;
- Comply with all safe food handling policies;
- Attend carving stations on buffets and/or private functions;
- All other duties as assigned.
Shifts are event driven and consist of mainly evenings and weekends. Flexible availability is required.
This position will remain open until suitable candidates are found.
