THE POSITION

The Buffett Attendant is responsible for assisting BOH buffet team restaurant serving staff in setting-up the buffet and maintaining overall service efficiency of the dining room through stocking and cleaning buffet, organizing and assembling cutlery, clearing tables, and maintaining a high standards for restaurant cleanliness and organization.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Assist in setting up the buffet area including food, beverage, and dessert stations;
• Organize and assemble cutlery for tables;
• Assist with the clearing of tables;
• Maintain an overall cleanliness in the restaurant;
• Ensure side stands are fully stocked with cutlery and water jugs;
• Actively participate in safety programs and follow polices;
• Run food from the kitchen to tables as required;
• Assist with Back of House set up as well as Front of House set up.
• Replenish prepared food in a timely manner to the buffets;
• Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of buffet and kitchen areas;
• Communicate with coworkers, cooks, sous chefs, and chefs to maintain efficiency;
• Actively participate in safety programs and follow policies;
• All other duties as assigned.

THE INDIVIDUAL

The ideal candidate will have the following background:

• Prior food and beverage service is required;
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple guests at once;
• Strong interpersonal and team work skills;
• Exemplary customer service skills;

Shifts are event driven and consist of mainly evenings and weekends. Flexible availability is required.
