Registered Dental Assistant - Dentrix Dental Care

The team at Dentrix Dental Care located in Calgary, Alberta is looking for a passionate, hard-working Registered Dental Assistant on a full-time basis.

The ideal RDA for our practice values playing their part for the team, to equip the Dentist through providing outstanding treatment assistance and preparing the treatment room and dental equipment/instruments for patient arrival.

CLINICAL DUTIES:

• Patient Preparation: Preparing patients for dental examinations and treatments, including seating, taking vitals, and applying topical anesthetics.
• Instrument and Equipment Management: Sterilizing, preparing, and setting out dental instruments and materials.
• Radiography: Taking X-rays.
• Assisting During Procedures: Passing instruments, controlling suction, and preparing dental materials during procedures.
• Patient Education: Providing patients with oral hygiene instructions and other dental care information.
• Specific Intra-Oral Duties: Removing sutures, applying desensitizing agents, fabricating and placing temporary crowns, applying dental dams, and more.
• Maintaining a Clean and Safe Environment: Ensuring the dental office is clean, organized, and adheres to infection control protocols.
• Patient Comfort and Communication: Welcoming patients, establishing rapport, and answering their questions.

SCHEDULE:

• 20+ hours per week 2 Saturdays a month needed
• Wednesday 11-6pm, Thursday 9-4pm, Friday 9-3pm Alternating Saturdays 9-3pm
• Come August we can add Tuesdays 11-6pm

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• Completion of a Registered Dental Assisting certification
• 2 year of experience is required
• Experience with dental practice management software such as Dentrix is considered an asset
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, families & coworkers
• Customer service mindset
