SAIT's School of Manufacturing and Automation, and School of Transportation provides the skills-based training and development to prepare students for a career in Alberta's rapidly growing transportation, manufacturing and automation sectors. The Opportunity
This position involves developing and managing strategic partnerships with government, industry, and community stakeholders to support the organization's growth strategy. The role requires identifying and engaging potential partners and fostering collaborations to enhance organizational objectives. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving initiatives that strengthen relationships and promote mutual benefits among diverse stakeholders and will lead initiatives to secure funding through Public-Private Partnerships (P3s), aligned with Alberta's P3 Framework.
The Role
Develop and implement a comprehensive growth strategy.
Develop aviation centric strategic growth plans, and align goals and objectives consistent with SAIT's strategy
Ensure that development plans are effectively managed and implemented.
Assist with growing the aviation portfolio, through new and existing program offerings, scholarships, and potential expansion support through advancement.
Engage with the SAIT broader community to build strategies that respond to the needs of industry.
Identify and engage potential industry and prospective partners, government, and community partners to foster collaborations.
Manage and maintain excellent relationships with existing partners to align with SAIT's and aviation programs specific strategic objectives.
Lead the preparation and submission of business cases and funding proposals
Drive opportunities for incremental revenue through building strategic relationships with key stakeholders.
Partner and coordinate with Continuing Education department when appropriate.
Collaborate with internal teams to align programs with industry needs and workforce trends
Liaise with other post-secondary institutions and establish partnerships.
Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks in aerospace and aviation.
Education & Experience
Required
Completion of post-secondary program.
Preferred
Bachelor's in business administration (BBA)
Aviation Management (Certificate)
Project Management (Certificate)
Master of Business Administration (MBA)
Qualifications, Certifications or Designations
Required
In-depth knowledge of aviation/aerospace industry trends and regulatory environments
Strong aviation and aerospace network.
Preferred
Experience in partnership management, with a focus on aviation or aerospace industries.
Strong strategic thinking, negotiation, and project management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Skills Required
Strong communication, both written and verbal
Excellent organizational and time management
Independent worker.
Personable, professional and critical thinker.
Strong knowledge of funding models, budgeting, and financial analysis.
Proficient in Microsoft 365 products and leveraging AI.

Salary range: $100,000.00 - $121,480.00
Paid Leave: 4 Weeks Vacation / 14 Flex Days per year
