Burnaby Hospital is seeking talented general internal medicine physicians to join our team on a part time basis. We're a dynamic community hospital dedicated to providing exceptional care and fostering a collaborative work environment.
Position Overview: As a General Internist at Burnaby Hospital, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive medical care to our diverse patient population. We're seeking candidates with a solid background in General Internal Medicine, particularly in acute care cardiology. You'll have the chance to participate in various clinical settings, including our in-hospital GIM rapid access clinic, and rapid access chest pain clinics and cardiodiagnostics.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team for patient care.
- Provide Most Responsible Physician care, including admission consultations.
- Provide consults in General Internal Medicine and its subspecialties for patients admitted under the Hospitalist and surgical services, as required.
- Engage in exercise treadmill testing, ECG, Holter, and event monitor interpretation.
- Participate in a flexible service week-based call and service schedule, sharing responsibilities with colleagues for weekday and weekend coverage.
- Demonstrate leadership, medical administration, and teaching skills.
