Availability during traditional school bus route times (Monday to Friday) is advantageous for those seeking regular weekly hours, but we are also looking to expand our pool of on-call drivers.

Qualifications:

• Current BC Class 2 or Class 4 Driver's License
• At least two years of driving experience

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

• Level 1 First Aid certification or equivalent
• Experience driving children

Working Conditions:

• Day (including early morning), evening, weekend, and possible overnight shifts
• Some heavy lifting (e.g., suitcases) and carrying may be required

Responsibilities:

• Safely transport students to and from school and events, following a prescribed route
• Perform vehicle safety inspections, documenting and reporting as required
• Comply with all school and government regulations, laws, and policies
• Communicate clearly and professionally with parents, school staff, passengers, co-workers, and the public
• Be punctual, reliable, and in good physical condition
• Maintain a positive attitude and work well as part of a team
• Work with minimal supervision
• Attend and participate in safety-related training provided by the school

Additional Requirements:

• All applicants undergo a satisfactory Criminal Record Check initiated by Queen Margaret's School
