Lifeguard/ Swim Instructor, Regular Part-Time Competition No. 23-13 Internal/External Opportunity This is a Union Position Located next to downtown Victoria, the Township of Esquimalt, with a population of over 17,000, is home to Canada's Pacific Naval Fleet. The community boasts extensive amenities including beautiful parks and beaches, scenic waterfront walkways as well as modern recreational facilities, schools and commercial services. The Aquatics department is seeking a motivated individual to fill a full-time regular lifeguard/ swim instructor position. Reporting to the Aquatic Supervisor. Required qualifications: National Lifeguard- Pool Standard First Aid and CPR-C current within 2 years A nationally recognized swim instructor certification (Red Cross or Lifesaving Society) These additional qualifications are considered an asset: Lifesaving Society Lifesaving Instructor award Water fit instructor certification such as CALA, YMCA, BCRPA Prior to applying, please review the attached job description which provides a detailed outline of key duties and required qualifications, skills, and abilities.
