The Clinical Lead RN role demonstrates our commitment to the Team Member Experience by providing integral services and support to our communities and their teams.

As a Clinical Lead RN your typical day will impact the following ways:

• Care coordination, assessment, planning, and delivery/treatment.

• Move-in and Discharges: Therapeutic communication with residents and families during move ins and discharges, to ensure a smooth transition for the resident and family.

• Care interactions with residents (i.e. hands-on resident care) and other clinical related interactions with family members.

• Attends Care Conferences as able and medication reviews.

• To address and resolve resident and/or family concerns as appropriate, referring issues to appropriate members of the team as necessary.

• To report, record and communicate all information that impacts resident care to other members of the team, using effective methods that are supportive of a good team atmosphere.

• To assume responsibility for own continuing education and professional development; maintaining current knowledge of trends and concepts in gerontology.

• To review Point Click Care (PCC) Risk Management for assigned resident areas and report risk management issues to the DOC including unsafe/unethical practices, ensure plans of care and care is coordinated to managed the outcome of the individual incident.

• To review PCC, POC and Emar modules.

• To participates in shift reports and coordinate follow up care for assigned residents

• Providing orientation and supervision to care team to clinical procedures under the direction of the DOC

• To participate in in-services, team member development programs, multidisciplinary care conferences and serve on committees as needed.

• To demonstrate knowledge of fire/emergency procedures and participate in facility fire and emergency drills.

Must haves:

• Graduation from a recognized program for Registered Nurses.

• Current full scope practising license with BCCNP.

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in residential care setting.

• Good working knowledge of the Provincial Residential Care Regulations, MS/RAI/Quality Improvement.

• Current First Aid and CPR certificate.

•As part of legislative requirements, all successful candidates must meet the provincial police check and tuberculosis screening requirements as applicable.

Bonus points for having:

• Gerontology and Long Term Care experience preferred.

• Bachelors in Nursing is considered an asset.
