Description

This position exists to help enable The Salvation Army fund Social Programs in the South Okanagan for the entire year.

Hours:

  • Contract October 15 -Dec 24, 2024

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Arrange for delivery and pick-ups of kettle stands and bubbles, and volunteers
  • Set up for kettle emptying, and resupply for next day.
  • Assemble and label kettles supply bags for each location for locations
  • Report to volunteer Coordinator for daily instructions
  • Prepare ID badges for Supervisors

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Certifications:

  • Grade 12 Education

Experience:

  • 1-2 year non-profit fund raising experience preferred

Required Skills/Knowledge:

  • Class 5 Driver License
  • Drivers abstract required

PREFERRED SKILLS/CAPABILITIES:

  • Be familiar with The Salvation Army Mission Statements
  • Be familiar with The Salvation Army Policy and Procedures
  • Demonstrate Organizational Skills
  • Demonstrate an ability to work independently
  • Demonstrate the ability to work with other Salvation Army personnel
  • Have a competent pleasant telephone manner

Successful candidates, prior to hiring, may be required to provide:

  • Background check consent
  • A clear vulnerable sector screening
  • A clean drivers abstract
  • Completion of our online Armatus Abuse Training and required Health and Safety training
