Sawco Industries is looking for a Bookkeeper/Administrator in Salmon Arm, BC. This is a great position that offers flexible work hours, training, mentorship and growth potential for those who enjoy working within a shop environment.

At Sawco we are your one stop shop for all your saw sales, maintenance and repairs. Only the top-quality carbide tips are used in the repair of existing saw and state of the art CNC equipment utilized for sharpening.

Using over 40 years' experience in the sawfiling business, we ensure your saws are maintained, repaired and sharpened for optimal performance. Priding ourselves on customer service and ensuring our customers have the best saws to meet their unique milling needs.

Role & Responsibility

As a member of the manufacturing team, the Bookeeper/Administrator will be responsible for day-to-day administrative functions such as:

  • Office and administrative support;
  • Accounts receivable and accounts payable;
  • Providing customer support with sales orders;
  • Providing estimates to internal team and external customers;
  • Inventory management and reordering supplies as needed;
  • Entering all shipment data into QuickBooks;
  • preparing Journal entries and other accounting functions
  • Retrieve, sort, and redirect mail and couriers; prepares mail and outgoing orders; and
  • All other office duties as required.


Hours of Work

This is a permanent, part-time position hours to be determined with successful candidate (on-site). There is flexibility as to when the hours are worked through the week. There is opportunity for full-time hours, if the successful candidate is interested in working in the shop.

Compensation

  • $20.00 - $25.00/hour dependent on previous experience and skills

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of related work experience within an administrative environment;
  • Experience working with QuickBooks;
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy; bookkeeping skills;
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment and independently; and
  • Effective communication skills both verbal and written.
