Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor/Assistant Warehouse Manager

Hourly Rate: $22.94

POSITION SUMMARY:

The primary role of Material Handlers II (Hospitality Beer Handler) will be to focus on our keg program to ensure the consistent and efficient flow of product through arena draught systems throughout the course of an event. This will involve setting up draught material pre-event and clean up post-event. The incumbent will be responsible for moving kegs between coolers/departments as needed and tracking and relaying this information to the Lead Warehouse Supervisor for inventory management. This is an hourly, part-time position.

A typical shift includes:

  • Changing kegs during events as required by area/stand supervisors
  • Performing keg changes and moves in a timely manner
  • Maintaining communication with warehouse/area supervisor regarding status of keg changes/confirmation of calls received
  • Reporting any keg changes between arena departments to Lead Warehouse Supervisor
  • Emptying coolers and arranging empty kegs for return to vendor post-event
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace in each keg cooler, stocking kegs neatly in their respective locations
  • Maintaining company equipment and ensuring it is operational and safe
  • Abiding by building health and safety codes at all times
  • Other duties as required

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of one year experience in a warehouse environment
  • Available to work weekends, nights, and holidays as required
  • Must be able to safely lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand during scheduled shift, withstand repetitive walking, reaching, and bending for long periods of time
  • Must have own steel toe work boots
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
  • Demonstrated ability to work well on one's own and cooperate in a team environment
  • Non-Canadian residents must hold a valid work permit expiring no earlier than January 2025
  • Previous experience in changing kegs is an asset
