A member of the Rosewood Hotel Georgia Purchasing team, the Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving, documenting, and tracking all goods ordered for the hotel. This role reports directly to the Purchasing Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Receive all deliveries at the designated receiving area, and maintain compliance in ensuring all deliveries are received solely at the designated receiving area.
- Maintain up-to-date records of all approved purchase orders; all purchase orders to clearly state the status of delivery.
- Accurately record all items received, copying records to Finance for payment and auditing purposes.
- Have all deliveries and goods entering hotel property for in-house use stamped and dated with appropriate receiving stamp.
- Complete a daily receiving report for F&B items and general items; submit appropriate receiving reports to accounts payable.
- Complete appropriate Discrepancy Form(s) for goods received without accompanying invoice; goods returned without a credit notice; notice of error correction.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderly condition of receiving area at all times.

- Maintain flexible schedule to meet the business needs of a 24/7 hotel environment, including weekends, evenings and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
· Must be able to exert physical effort in lifting items upwards to 50 pounds
· Physical ability to push/pull items up to 100 pounds.
· Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, reach up and down, and remain fully mobile for extended times throughout work periods.
· Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch.
Qualification Standards:
Education: High School Diploma required.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year previous experience in a similar capacity, preferably in a luxury to ultra-luxury hotel environment.
