Our hospital and community-based services are delivered by a team of 48,000+ staff, medical staff and volunteers dedicated to serving our patients, families and communities.

The Peace Arch Hospital Emergency Department is seeking part-time, and full-time Emergency Physicians to join our collegial and well-supported team. We maintain great relationships with all specialty and hospitalist groups within our hospital, making it a very positive working environment.

Peace Arch Hospital is a 171-bed, UBC-affiliated acute care hospital in scenic White Rock, BC. We offer inpatient medicine, surgery, orthopedics, anaesthesia, obstetrics, psychiatry, rehabilitation, and critical care services, as well as a variety of ambulatory services.

The emergency department has over 55,000 visits annually and projected to increase to 70,000 by 2030 due to rapid population growth in the White Rock/South Surrey area. We have access to a full range of diagnostic services including 24/7 access to CT, Ultrasound and MRI. Local and regional subspecialty support is excellent.

Our new emergency department was completed in Jan 2022. This state-of-the-art facility has quadrupled the square footage of the current department and features 55 single-patient treatment spaces, a child and family-friendly treatment area, and a dedicated mental health and substance use waiting and treatment area. We are on the cutting edge of technology with our new art airway equipment and a C-arm for fracture reduction.

Remuneration is fee for service, which is excellent in our ER due to our great patient flow.

Candidates will be certified in Emergency Medicine with either the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CCFP-EM), the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC). The successful applicant must be eligible for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC.
