The Opportunity:

As Facility Maintenance Cleaner, you will be accountable for upkeep duties for Camp Glenn Carpenter, including housekeeping, minor repairs, lawn and trail maintenance, and landscaping.


Expected start date January 2025. Must have reliable transportation and able to work 5-6 hours per day Monday to Friday


Responsibilities:

  • Completing scheduled preventative maintenance inspections.
  • Performing cleaning activities such as dusting, mopping, etc.
  • Cleaning facilities and program space.
  • Gathering and emptying garbage from all areas of the camp, including buildings
  • Performing minor repairs and painting, as required.
  • Mowing lawns and other yard/garden upkeep.
  • Completing equipment checks to ensure proper function and safe operation.
  • Ensuring that all areas are clean, safe and well organized.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including rigorous activity: grasping, writing, pushing, pulling, standing for long periods, walking, bending, stretching, repetitive motions, hearing, visual acuity, and may, on occasion, have to lift and carry up to 60 lbs.
  • Experience with painting is considered an asset.
  • Cleaning experience in a commercial establishments.
  • WHMIS training is considered an asset.
  • You have demonstrated ability to work alone or as part of a team.
  • Current First Aid/CPR/AED is considered an asset.
  • Candidates would also need to have reliable transportation
  • Employment is contingent on having a clean Criminal Record Check.
