Job Summary & Key Responsibilities
LARC1020/HORT2008: Site Design/Residential Landscape Design - Winter 2025

Work Assignment: This Part-time Academic will teach in-person lecture and labs for LARC1020 (Site Design) and HORT2008 (Residential Landscape Design) which are held together at the same time, with common learning outcomes and assessments, for the period of January - April 2025. Lectures are Monday and Wednesday from 10.05am to 12.55pm and Labs are Thursdays from 10.05am to 11.25am. The course will require knowledge and familiarity with Brightspace. The Part-time Academic will be responsible for all aspects of teaching and administering the class, including lectures, labs, test preparation and online/in person evaluation. The position reports to the Chair of the Department, Dr. Gefu Wang-Pruski.
Qualifications/Requirements of Position
Qualifications: At least one year experience in teaching in a postsecondary educational institution. Excellent oral, written communication skills, collegiality and interpersonal skills. PhD in Landscape Horticulture, Landscape Architecture OR Masters in Landscape Horticulture or Landscape Architecture with two year experience OR an instructor who has been teaching this course in a post-secondary institution for degree level students.
Salary Range/Pay Rate Per CUPE Collective Agreement
