Position Summary:

Under the direct supervision of the F&B Supervisor or F&B Manager, this position plays a key role in maintaining the cleanliness, inventory, and overall functionality of the F&B outlets. You’ll ensure that all operations adhere to the highest standards of safety, cleanliness, and regulatory compliance while contributing to a positive and welcoming atmosphere for both guests and team members. Responsibilities span across various areas including restaurants, bars, grills, casino floors, coolers, freezers, dry stock areas, and more. This role also includes supporting bartenders by ensuring they have the necessary supplies and giving breaks when required. Ensures adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian's learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Food and Beverage Service: Deliver food and beverages to guests as requested and assist in replenishing stock when needed.
  • Operational Cleanliness: Ensure cleanliness of all F&B areas, including floors, walls, and equipment, and handle waste and recyclables according to guidelines.
  • Stock and Inventory Management: Restock various outlets, including bars and self-serve stations, and manage inventory to ensure all required items are available.
  • Event Support: Deliver and set up event functions, ensuring all required items for service are in place, and clear the venue afterward.
  • Breakage and Safety Management: Minimize breakage and follow safe lift procedures; clean spills promptly and maintain safety protocols to prevent accidents.
  • Stock Room Organization: Maintain organized stock rooms, ensuring proper stock rotation (FIFO) and adherence to system controls.
  • Communication and Coordination: Communicate effectively with other operational departments and provide breaks to bartenders as required.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to health, safety, licensing, and other statutory regulations in all tasks.
  • Teamwork and Relationships: Cultivate strong working relationships with guests, team members, and ownership while performing additional duties as directed

Education and Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum 6 months work experience
  • POS experience
  • Ability to successfully obtain an AGCO Gaming License
  • Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication
  • Ability to obtain Smart Serve certification

Work Environment Considerations:

Regular restaurant, bar and grill or bar, coolers, freezers and stock room environments, serving customers, handling cash, working with POV system, standing or walking for long periods of time, some exposure to noise, odors; lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, stretching, some exposure to verbal abuse, non-traditional work hours.
