Job Description:

Job Purpose: To provide excellent service to guests, receive donations, sort incoming product, maintain production quotas of sorted product and assists in maintenance of all store operations. When performed effectively, this position will ensure excellent guest service, reduce losses and maximize sales and profitability

Experience Requirement:

• Retail enthusiasm

• Good written and oral English (French where required)

• Approachable with good interaction/people skills

• Eye for detail

• Some interpersonal conflict dealing with customers, donors and/or volunteers

Education Requirement:

• Minimum Grade 10 or equivalent

• Possess the ability to learn cash procedures, pricing and sorting procedures, and product display and promotion guidelines

Working Conditions:

• Normal retail selling floor environment

• Back room sorting and stock warehousing with consideration for safety factors

• Occasional exposure to fumes and dust and temperature fluctuations Adherence to targets and quotas within established deadlines must be met Flexibility in personal work hours is required A copy of this signed document will be kept on your Official Employee File

• Work is varied with periods of repetitious tasks

• Attention must be applied for accuracy of pricing and sizing of clothing

• Consistent physical exertion required for lifting and movement of heavy boxes and bags of donations

• Frequent physical exertions in lifting furniture

• Constant lifting, standing, walking, bending, and twisting Health & Safety

• Maintains a safe and healthy work environment through compliance with Health & Safety regulation

Compensation:

Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
