What would my role be?

Reporting to the Manager, Nutrition & Food Services, you will supervise the personnel as well as the quality and operation of food production and distribution services and dishwashing activities.

Tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate inventory verification.
  • Prepare orders and supervise storage.
  • Ensure the quality and proper use of produce by applying appropriate work. methods for production and distribution of meals and nourishments.
  • Participate in the development of cyclical menus and recipes.
  • Plan and coordinate preparation of catering events.
  • Participate in reviewing work routines of supervised staff.
  • Evaluate the performance of the employees and determine development needs.
  • Application of preventive work habits, for occupational health and safety as well as for correcting potentially dangerous situations.

How do I qualify?

Required:

  • Two (2) years community college Diploma in Food and Nutrition Management.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of related experience.
  • Experience in a unionized environment.
  • Membership in CSNM (Canadian Society of Nutrition Management) - National association

Preferred:

  • Fluent in French and English
