Bruyère Health Élisabeth-Bruyère Long - Term Care is a 69 bed Long-Term Care (LTC) home situated within Bruyère Health Élisabeth-Bruyère Hospital. What would my role be?

Reporting to the Director of Care or delegate, you will function as a member of the interdisciplinary team and provide all aspects of care within your scope to residents as assigned by the Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) and Registered Nurse (RN). Further, you will provide care to support residents' quality of life and autonomy and play a supportive role in the functioning of the home area.

How do I qualify?

Required:

  • Personal Support Worker course approved by the Ontario Ministry of Universities and Colleges (minimum 650-hour course required from an accredited school)
  • Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) Level C certificate

Preferred:

  • PointOfCare experience (PointClickCare module)
  • Knowledge or experience working in long-term care
  • Dementia care experience
  • Experience working with older adults and/or adults affected by loss of autonomy or by chronic or terminal illness
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training
  • Gentle Persuasive Approach (GPA) or relevant certifications related to supporting persons with responsive behaviors
  • Fluent in French and English
