Purpose of Role

The role will provide the candidate an opportunity to gain an introductory experience to the mining industry, a publicly-listed international company and exposure to the day-to-day functions of the Compliance Group.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist Compliance Group with a variety of tasks, including:
  • Assistance on investigation related matters;
  • Assistance in relation to supplier due diligence;
  • Maintenance of the due diligence portal; and
  • Assistance in the development of Compliance related training materials.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Enrolled in a diploma/degree in business, economics, law, political science or a related field.
  • Strong written and oral communications skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to perform well in a team environment.
  • Ability to organize and interpret information from multiple sources.
  • Strong Word, PowerPoint and Excel abilities.
  • Coursework or interest in financial crime, compliance or risk management is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate in Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese and/or French is considered an asset.
  • Experience working and/or knowledge of the resource industry (mining, oil/gas or power in particular) is considered an asset.
