Salary: $38,282-$47,853 annually (To commensurate with experience and consistent with UHN compensation policy)

Position Summary

As a member of the facility, the Clerical Assistant II will be primarily responsible for performing duties related to the Bickle Centre Gift Shop duties and will handle certain tasks pertaining to the BC Front Office and Patient Registration.

Duties:

  • Responsible for ordering, receiving, and pricing of merchandise
  • Performs merchandising and cashier functions
  • Organizes revenue-generating promotions to attract customer interest
  • Provides great customer service
  • Provide leadership, support, and guidance to gift shop volunteers
  • Coordinate the return of stale-dated merchandises and other products
  • Maintain the order and cleanliness of the gift shop
  • Perform cross-functional duties, within scope of authority
  • Perform other duties consistent with the job classification, as assigned or requested (BC Front/Business Office duties)
  • Requires lifting items or bending, such as cases of products greater than 15lbs which are sold by the case, merchandising/stocking cases of beverages
  • Requires standing 95% of the shift
  • Requires assisting with packaging and reconciling invoices

In addition to the above duties, the Clerical Assistant will perform Front/Business office tasks. Ensuring the provision of optimum customer service through the efficient delivery of Front Desk duties and through the timely collection, verification and correction of patient demographic data during the patient registration and admitting process to the CCC/LTLD program.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a 2-year community college program or Diploma in Accounting or Business Administration from an accredited educational institution OR equivalent relevant experience
  • One (1) year of related merchandising experience, preferably in the healthcare industry
  • Working knowledge of SAP and EPIC an asset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
  • Experience and interest in retail merchandising
  • Computer Skills: MS Word and basic Excel an asset
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and changing shift schedule
