Weekend Respite:

  • Sundays 9:00-5:00pm
  • School year calendar (Sept to June annually)

Creative Arts March Break Respite Camp - March 10-14 2025, 8:00 - 4:00 shift, TFT

Spiral Garden - June 16, 2025 to August 29, 2025, 8:30 - 4:30 shift, TFT

Key Responsibilities

  • Bases practice on basic nursing science and basic content relevant to nursing from the sciences and humanities
  • Delivers care based on established policies and procedures and standards of care
  • Provides nursing care that promotes and supports the physical, psychosocial, and spiritual well being of clients and families
  • Partners with clients/families and other team members to ensure the goals of the client are reached.
  • Utilizes a strength based approach when interacting with clients and families
  • Administration of medications and treatments as appropriate
  • Participates in quality improvement initiatives, supports the maintenance of a safe and healthy work environment and advances a culture of client/patient safety through work and daily practices
  • Performs all pre-admit calls to ensure knowledge transfer and update care plan
  • Meets the standards of documentation and reporting requirements


Qualifications

  • •Registered Practical Nurse Certificate with medication administration
  • •Current BCLS certificate—Basic Rescuer
  • •Previous job-related experience, preferably in a pediatric or rehabilitation setting
  • •Demonstrated clinical skills in caring for children with complex orthopedic and/or respiratory needs
  • •Experience in behaviour management preferred
  • •Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
  • •Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • •Demonstrated ability to manage a diverse workload while setting priorities and meeting deadlines
  • •Demonstrated computer skills, Meditech experience preferred
