Reports to: Pharmacy Inventory Operations Leader and Sr. Director, Pharmacy
Work Model: On-Site
Grade: D0:09
Hours: 18.75 per week
Salary: $47.09 to $64.50 per hour (To commensurate with experience and consistent with UHN compensation policy)
Shifts: Weekdays (No Evenings)
Status: Permanent Part-Time
Closing Date: December 6, 2024

Position Summary

The Pharmacist provides clinical expertise and assist in the operationalization for the management of drug product backorders at University Health Network. As a part of the inpatient pharmacy inventory team, the Pharmacist also provides clinical and operational expertise required for effective and efficient drug inventory control.

Duties

  • Monitor, assess, document and communicate all drug product backorder related notifications to the broader pharmacy team
  • Assist in implementation of backorder management strategies as needed
  • Responding to drug information questions related to drug product backorder management
  • In addition, the pharmacist will facilitate and support clinical teaching and research activities within the department, while exemplifying UHN's values of caring, excellence, teamwork, innovation, integrity, leadership, and respect.
  • Performing other duties consistent with the job classification, as required.

Qualifications

  • Possess a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Pharmacy, Doctor of Pharmacy degree or equivalent required
  • Certificate of competency from the Pharmacy Examination Board of Canada required
  • Active registration with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (Part A) required
  • Hospital pharmacy practice experience with patient-centered care experience is a requirement
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Hospital Pharmacy residency an asset
  • Membership in the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists and/or other professional societies an asset
  • Experience in an inpatient acute care setting is an asset
