We are currently recruiting for Casual Stewarding Supervisor reporting to the Assistant Executive Steward, and the Assistant Stewarding Managers.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supervision of stewarding staff
  • Assist with departmental training and orientation of new and existing employees
  • Monitoring daily labour costs
  • Delegating job tasks and duties as required
  • Accountable to the Managers of any assigned task to each in every staff during his or her shift
  • Maintain time keeping and records
  • Ensures adherence to legal and company policies and procedures and undertake disciplinary action if the need to arises.

This position requires shift work and hours will be based on business demands.

Job Skills and Requirements

  • At least 2-5 years relevant supervisory experience in the Stewarding / Kitchen areas within the Hospitality industry
  • Previous experience in a unionized environment
  • WHMIS Certification is required.
  • Excellent organizational and written / verbal communicational skills are a must.
  • Availability to work the overnight shift starting at 10:00 pm
