Allied Universal is seeking Security Guard- Incident Reporting Centre in Waterloo, Ontario.

Job Title: Security Guard- Incident Reporting Centre

Location: Waterloo, ON

Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $ 26.11 per hour

Mandatory : Must have 5 years continuous residency in Canada (Site Specific Clearance required)

OVERVIEW :

We are seeking a vigilant and detail-oriented Security Gaurd - Incident Reporting Centre to join our team.

This is an entry level position therefore, No Security License or Security Experience is required. Allied Universal will provide training & cover the cost of obtaining your Security License. (Reimbursement upon clearing 90 day probation period & completing 40-hour training program)

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Continuously oversee alarm systems and CCTV cameras to detect and assess potential security threats.
  • Document and report incidents accurately, ensuring all relevant details are captured for future reference and analysis.
  • Evaluate situations to determine the level of risk and recommend appropriate responses.
  • Maintain clear and professional communication through email correspondence with team members and other stakeholders.
  • Manage remote access to secure areas, ensuring that only authorized personnel are allowed entry.
  • Conduct routine checks of security systems and equipment to ensure they are functioning correctly and are up to date.
  • Act swiftly in emergency situations, coordinating with law enforcement and emergency services as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate logs of incidents, inspections, and other relevant documentation for compliance and review.

REQUIREMENTS :

  • Valid Ontario Security License (preferred, not required)
  • Valid First Aid and CPR License
  • Flexibility and a willingness to work during different times of day and on weekends.
  • Must be at least 25 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience
  • Familiarity with operating technology and wireless communication systems at client-specific sites.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
