Allied Universal is seeking Secuirty Professional in Waterloo, Ontario.

Job Title: Security Professional

Location: Waterloo, ON

Type: Casual/ Floater

Pay Rate: $20.70 per hour

Shifts:Various Shift

Requirements: 5-year Residency in Canada to obtain clearance

Overview :

We are looking for Security Professional who can support various roles across the site, including Reception, Security Desk, Night Rover, and By-law Enforcement (Parking Enforcement). This is a diverse position that requires flexibility, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The successful candidates will be trained to perform each of the duties as needed, ensuring smooth operations across different areas of the site.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Monitor Security Systems: Continuously oversee alarm systems and CCTV cameras to detect and assess potential security threats.

  • Incident Reporting: Document and report incidents accurately, ensuring all relevant details are captured for future reference and analysis.

  • Threat Assessment: Evaluate situations to determine the level of risk and recommend appropriate responses.

  • Professional Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication through email correspondence with team members and other stakeholders.

  • Monitor and Control Access: Ensure only authorized individuals are allowed access to the building. Verify identification and sign-in of visitors, contractors, and employees.
  • Issue Access Badges/Passes: Provide temporary access badges or passes to visitors, contractors, and temporary staff as required. Assign badges to new employees as needed.
  • Regular Inspections: Conduct routine checks of security systems and equipment to ensure they are functioning correctly and are up to date.

  • Emergency Response: Act swiftly in emergency situations, coordinating with law enforcement and emergency services as necessary.

  • Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of incidents, inspections, and other relevant documentation for compliance and review.

  • Patrol Parking Lots: Regularly monitor and patrol corporate parking lots, garages, or designated parking areas to ensure that all vehicles comply with the established parking rules and regulations.

REQUIREMENTS :

  • 1-2 years of experience working in a security sector.
  • Must have a valid Ontario Security License.
  • Must be at least 25 years old.
  • Must have a G License.

  • Clean Driver's abstract and above 25 years of age for insurance purposes.

  • High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience.
  • Must be able to obtain site specific security clearance
  • Familiarity with operating technology and wireless communication systems at client-specific sites.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • First Aid and CPR
