About the role

  • Participate in a structured cooperative educational/work program between the company and a college/university student enrolled in an accredited degree program directly related to skills required by the company
  • Work with a multi-disciplinary teams to create Three Dimensional (3D) models for compartment and topside arrangements for the Canadian Surface Combatant (CSC) Program
  • Perform Quick Look analysis to prove concepts; including Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Line of Sight and Cable Length Restrictions
  • Conduct meeting minutes for design reviews
  • Understanding of configuration/change management principles and their application in the product development life cycle.

What you bring to the role

  • Current student in an engineering field, preferably Electrical
  • Working knowledge of SolidWorks
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft (MS) Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Visio
  • Aptitude for working well in teams
  • Ability to work independently
  • Available for four (4) months, starting September 2024
  • Eligible for North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Secret clearance in a timely manner.

Additional skills desired for the role

  • Working knowledge of Creo, SolidWorks PDM, Windchill or AutoCAD
  • Active security clearance
  • Results-Oriented Self-Starter Attitude.
