Family Physician

Job Description

The Saskatchewan Health Authority is seeking a 0.5 FTE Family Physician to provide primary care services in the Duck Lake Primary Health Care site located in the Town of Duck Lake, Wakaw and surrounding First Nations Communities of Beardy's and Okemasis' Cree Nation and One Arrow First Nation. The scope of practice includes 2 - 3 days weekly in each area, half-day extended hour clinics in Wakaw and on call on a rotational basis, and itinerant LTC rounding.

The Town of Duck Lake is located 90 km north of Saskatoon and 44 km south of Prince Albert on Highway 11. Beardy's & Okemasis' Cree Nation is located 12 km west of the community of Duck Lake and One Arrow is located 50 km southeast. This area is rich in history with historical sites of Fort Carlton, Batoche and the St. Laurent Shrine all located close by. This position will have collaborative practice with physicians and NPs within the Duck Lake, Wakaw and Cudworth communities.

Job Qualifications

Candidates must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan.
