Hours of Work: 336.00 hours per 12 week rotation

Scheduled hours of work may be reduced during the rotation stipulated when a statutory holiday is recognized during that period.

Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic $39.654 to $48.451

Travel Required: No

Job Description: The EMT-ACP will respond to calls for service as per dispatch instructions, providing assessment, treatment and transportation of ill or injured persons. The EMT-ACP will cover standby assignment, as operations require.

Education

  • Advanced Care Paramedic Diploma (ACP)

Licenses

  • Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic/Advanced Care Paramedic (EMT-P/ACP)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certificate (PALS)
  • Valid Class 4 driver's license
  • Health Care Provider Level C Certificate (HCP-C)

Other Education and Training

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS)
  • Pediatric Education for Prehospital Professionals (PEPP) certificate acceptable
  • Basic Life Support Instructor Certificate (BLS)

Competencies
