Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Nurse B $42.04 to $52.44

Job Description: Provides clinical expertise, education and related support to the care teams (including licensed and unlicensed staff, residents, families and others). The CNE works collaboratively with members of the management team in providing strategic leadership, identifying learning needs, developing integrated educational programming, and coordinating service delivery with all departments

Required Qualifications

  • Baccalaureate degree in Nursing. Advanced preparation in adult education and/or gerontology preferred
  • Registered with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan or the Registered Psychiatric Nurses Association of Saskatchewan
  • Minimum of three (3) years clinical nursing experience in long-term care
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience in adult education, including needs assessment, resource development/design and implementation/delivery and evaluation

  • Comfortable teaching, facilitating and leading groups and proving performance feedback
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities
  • Intermediate computer, IT and technology aptitudes
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills

Knowledge and Abilities

  • Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, facilitate and evaluate educational curriculum and projects
  • Demonstrated team and leadership skills, proven ability to work co-operatively in relationships with the other health care providers and agencies
  • Comfortable both taking direction and being self-directed
  • Knowledgeable about occupational health and safety
