The team at Dr Randy Berger Oral Surgery located in Regina, Saskatchewan are looking for a passionate, hard-working Registered Nurse on a part-time basis.

The ideal Registered Nurse for our team will be highly motivated to provide safe care and treatment for Recovery Room patients before, during and after surgery.

Dr Randy Berger is a well established Oral Surgeon who has been practicing in Regina for 35 years. He is welcoming Dr Meena Bhatti to his practice in September 2024.

WHAT WE ARE OFFERING:

• Part-time employment
• Permanent status
• Wages will be matched to you current SHA Wage

SCHEDULE:

• 7:00am to 12:00pm
• Monday thru Friday

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• Must have passed the Canadian Registered Nurse Examination (CRNE) or The National Council Licensure Examination - Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN)
• preoperative review of upcoming patients
• preoperative review of allergies and medical concerns
• connecting ECG, ETCO2, blood pressure and pulse oxymetry meters
• starting intravenous lines
• inter-operative patient monitoring and charting
• post operative patient monitoring and post operative instructions prior to discharge
• managing the emergency drugs regarding expiry dates and re-ordering
• Be prepared to preform necessary duties in an emergency situation such as CPR, IV line, administer emergency drugs, manage a patient airway, use a Lifepak monitor defibrillator
• be familiar with and trained in ACLS (PALS not required)
• demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients and families
