Job Description: Under the direction of the Home Care Manager, the Registered Nurse carries major responsibilities in providing nursing services in the home; collaborates as a member of a multi-disciplinary team in assessing needs, setting priorities for care and developing standards for care; participates in educational programs and performance evaluation process; promotes good public relations and participates, as required, in studies and research projects within the Home Care Program.

Human Resources Exemption: No

Experience

  • Two (2) years recent community nursing experience/broad generalist background

Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)

Other Education and Training

  • Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
  • Nursing diploma is acceptable

Other Information

  • Desirable to possess nursing principles/techniques for long term care patients
  • Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
