QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN).
• CNA Certification in applicable specialty preferred.
• Current SRNA registration.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor Certificate.
• Requires a minimum of 3 years nursing experience in a related clinical unit/service, Ambulatory Care or Urology Centre preferred.
• Experience in a clinical leadership role such as Charge Nurse or equivalent.
• Previous experience in adult education considered an asset.
• Experience in developing programs/resources for staff in the areas of planning, implementation, quality monitoring, and evaluation considered an asset.
• Proficient computer skills to support learning (Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Knowledge in nursing process.
• Knowledge in principles of adult learning.
• Evidence of clinical leadership ability.
• An understanding of models of nursing care.
• Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Knowledge in education and program development, implementation, and evaluation.
• Knowledge of Quality Improvement and Change Management.
• Ability to work independently.
