Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Respiratory Therapist - Diploma Senior $41.739 to $50.916

Job Description: The Transport Respiratory Therapist will be responsible to provide advanced respiratory treatment to complex/critical patients in unpredictable environments encountered in a wide variety of health care facilities. Transportation and care of these patients will occur via air or ground transport. The Transport Respiratory Therapist will be expected to perform advanced skill procedures learned through specialized training under the direction of the Transport Physician via protocols, guidelines and orders received in person or via telephone communication.

Human Resources Exemption: No

Experience

  • 2 years minimum experience in a critical care environment
  • Experience in Neonatal Intensive Care required

Education

  • Respiratory Therapy diploma (RT)

Other Education and Training

  • Completion of the Neonatal Transport Training Course
  • Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)

  • Registered/eligiblewith the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapist (CSRT)
