Job Description: Reporting to the Manager for Primary Health Care, Saskatoon Speech-Language Pathology, the Speech-Language Pathologist is responsible for the prevention, identification, diagnosis and rehabilitation of preschool children (birth to school entry) with communication disorders/delays in the Saskatchewan Health Authority - Rural Saskatoon service area.

Education

  • Master of Speech Language Pathology (SLP)

Licenses

  • Valid Class 5 driver's license

Competencies

  • Advanced - Communication skills

Knowledge and Abilities

  • Demonstrates ability in verbal and non-verbal communication techniques
  • Responsible for accurate observation/documentation of patient related info.
  • Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Knowledge in various intervention strategies for individuals and groups
  • Ability to work independently
